Bear Belly

I live full-time in a small off-road trailer and move around when it feels right. Bear Belly is where I write about the road, the quiet days in between, and life with my dog Nana.

Me and Nana, somewhere along the way.

This is where it began

From Nurse to Nomad: Embracing Life’s Adventures

This is the story of how I left nursing, took to the road with my trailer and my dog Nana, and learned to slow down enough to notice what mattered. It’s where this journal really begins.

One of the places that made me slow down

What you’ll find here

This isn’t a travel guide or a how-to site. It’s more of a running journal.
I write when something feels worth writing down — sometimes about places, sometimes about sitting still, and sometimes about figuring things out as I go.

  • Updates from wherever I’m parked at the moment
  • Notes on full-time travel and simple living
  • Stories about life on the road with Nana
  • Occasional thoughts on gear, setups, and lessons learned

A little more about me

As I travel, I try to focus on change — change in my perspective of who I am, in how I see the world around me, and in learning to live each day grateful for the challenges it brings.

End of day

In every walk in nature, one receives more than he seeks

I don’t post on a schedule, and I don’t send anything extra — just an email when there’s something new to read.

The Journal

If you’d like to spend a little more time here, The Journal is where the longer stories are.
